Festitalia Bursary 2026

Festitalia is providing the youth of Italian ancestry the opportunity to apply to receive a $250 bursary to be used towards post-secondary education in an approved undergraduate college or university program. ONE will be awarded this September 2026.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible students will be required to:

  • Write a reflection no longer than 250 words, explaining the importance and/or impact of your Italian heritage on your way of life, and stating your family, ancestral region.
  • Submit proof of minimum 80% average in Grade 12 courses (min. 6 courses).
  • Submit a CV, outlining your significant community service activities.
  • Submit proof of acceptance at a post-secondary institution/program.
  • One reference letter supporting your nomination.
  • Submit a headshot photo to be inserted in event program.
 
Applicants must:
 
  • Be of Italian origin (through a parent or grandparent).
  • Currently be a student in a secondary school.
  • The applicant must live in Hamilton, Ontario.
  • The completed application must be received by June 17th, 2026 before 4:00pm.
  • The winner will be required to attend the Festitalia Opening Gala in September 2026.
