Festitalia Bursary 2025

Festitalia is providing the youth of Italian ancestry the opportunity to apply to receive a $500 bursary to be used towards post-secondary education in an approved undergraduate college or university program.

ONE will be awarded this September 2025. Thank you to our sponsor this year, Realtor Anthony Picone from RE/MAX.

Eligible students will be required to:

• Write an essay of NO LONGER THAN 250 WORDS, explaining the importance and/or impact of their Italian heritage on their way of life.

• Submit proof of minimum 80% average in Grade 12 courses (min. 6 courses)
• Submit a resume, outlining their significant community service activities
• Submit proof of acceptance at a post-secondary institution.
• One reference letter supporting your nomination.
• Submit a headshot photo to be inserted in event program.

Eligibility:

• The applicant must be of Italian ancestry (parent/s, grandparent/s).
• The applicant must currently be a student in a secondary school.
• The applicant must live in Hamilton, Ontario.
• The completed application must be received by June 13th, 2025 before 4:00pm.
• The winner will be required to attend the Festitalia Opening Gala on September 6th , 2025 at Marquis Gardens (Rymal Road).
