BIS!
Southern Ontarion Lyric Opera (SOLO) is very pleased to perform in concert as Festitalia celebrates 50 years of enriching the community with Italian culture!
The concert will take place on Sunday October 5th, 2025 at 2pm at the Italian Centre, 420 Crerar Drive in Hamilton.
The concert is called “BIS!”, which is the Italian word for “Encore!”, and will feature tenors Romulo Delgado, Giacomo Folinazzo, and Joel Ricci, along with the Sons and Daughters of Itally Choir, and the SOLO Chorus and Orchestra, under the direction of Sabatino Vacca. The concert will also include other special guest performers.
Italy is regarded as the birthplace of Opera. Singing has always been a big part of Italian culture. As such, this concert will be a celebration of some of the very best music that Italy has offered the world with selections from the realm of Operal, Neapolitan and Regional Song favourites, Art Songs, and popular music!
